Nominations for the 3rd annual Mashable Open Web Awards are now open. I voted today for @Twestival in the Best Non-Profit use of Twitter. I encourage you to do the same if you feel anyway inclined in that direction.
I did find it mildly amusing to see tweets of people nominating themselves in categories such as "Twitter User of the Year" and "Most Interesting Twitter user to Follow". Not that it bothers me, I admire shamelessness, I truely do.
However as @mokuska pointed out to me the Mashable Open Web Awards positively encourage self promotion
